1. AEMET
On the website of the State Meteorological Agency you can consult the maritime coastal forecast for the Balearic Islands. Allows for easy interpretation with wind and wave height maps with image animation. The warnings have a range of 48 hours and the maps have a range of five days, which is perfect if you're going to charter a yacht and you want to buy your holidays in advance.
2. State Ports
Puertos del Estado, of the Ministry of Public Works, offers a very complete maritime forecast, although it is more difficult to interpret. This page shows maps of predictions for the next 3 to 5 daysdepending on the variable. It allows to know the height of the waves, the wind, in m/s and Beufort, the sea level, the currents in metres per second with the direction of the current, the water temperature and the salinity.
It stands out for its real-time sea level and longwave measurement- both measured by tide gauges and updated every minute -, oscillations recorded inside the harbours, agitation, wind, atmospheric pressure, water and air temperature, currents and salinity.
3. Eltiempo.es
The famous weather forecast site eltiempo.es has a coastal forecast service which shows in a very visual and graphical way wind speed, wave and water temperature on the coast of the Balearic Islands. It allows to know the forecast for the next 5 days of these three factors.
4. Windguru
Windguru is a website specialising in the wind weather forecast for windsurfers, kitesurfers, surfers and other related sports. Its detailed wind charts can also be very useful for sailors.
5. Ibiza Diary
And lastly, for those tourists who arrive with the renting a boat or other vessel a recommendation from land, on the Ibiza Diary you will find a section where you can find a very simple way to see the state of the sea on the island of Ibiza.
